away on Tues night and that's another 3 points gone in my book.

Just hope we sink Oxford on Sat or things will really look grim and I might have to start looking up directions to a whole lot of new grounds!

Come on guys, for God's sake turn it round!!

Slightly alarmist - We've scored more goals than any team behind us, and conceded fewer goals. We're 9 points off the drop zone and the same number of points off 5th place! - 8 wins from 21 suggests we won get a play off spot though.

Ah the voice of reason thank god! And let's not forget we have won 2 out of 3 with the 3rd deserving at the very least a draw.

We have now played half our games and are on course to get 60pts which would see us below the playoffs.
However, if we get an average of two points per game from now on (not unreasonable) then we'll get 72 points and that may be enough for 5th place.

Slightly alarmist

Slightly but born out of a sense of frustration that we can and should do better! Can't argue with the stats but it's form and performance that wins points not wish-for results! We may have games in hand too but that won't count for anything if we don't get the results we're capable of! Still better to look at it as the glass being half full - at least for now!

--------------------
A car pulls up at the traffic lights. A small boy sits in the back and gazes silently out of the window, a pensive look on his face, while his father drums his fingers on the steering wheel. The hush is broken when the boy, a pleading, inquisitive tone in his voice, says: "Papa?" A sigh, a hint of resignation: here comes another one of those questions your kids ask that you can't answer. "Yes, son." "Why," asks the boy, "do we support Atleti Chippenham?" The silence deepens, his father is stumped. There is no answer, no logical explanation. Why do we support Atlético Madrid Chippenham Town?

Wonder if we'll have a full squad (bar suspensions Harvey & Lamb) tonight? I see last time out there was no Gullick or Highmore - the latter having been noticeably unavailable for an awful lot of games since he signed the contract. Good player, but we need him available.

Luke is injured, knee problem but on the mend - spoke to him at last home game. Not sure about Highmore, he didn't look as sharp as he has done then either

You suggesting that we should take relegation? Attendances would probably improve if we were top 2..

As it happens the budget had nothing to do with my comment which I made solely on the basis of the abilty that is in the side. In my view, we are capable of better performances than some of those being delivered this season and it is the lack of consistency in the results - hence Jekyll and Hyde - that bothers me!

Let's hope for a result tonight. I do wish the guys luck though I reckon the best we'll do is a draw but more than delighted to be proved wrong!

As in punching above our weight in this division - we finish top half and its a good season, make the playoffs then Adie really is earning is money
